ICDL/ECDL Profile

Everyone uses technology for different reasons. ICDL/ ECDL Profile allows choosing the module combinations best for individual needs. After passing the tests, those modules then represent your specific ICDL/ ECDL Profile, which are listed on ICDL/ ECDL Profile certificate.

ICDL Profile is flexible, so candidates or companies can build the Profile that suits their needs or interests.

Besides that, we recommend four ICDL Profiles - Entry, Base, Standard, and Advanced - each represents a different level of digital proficiency, and proof of the skill level that the certificate holder have.  

ICDL ENTRY PROFILE


ICDL Entry Profile is an entry certification. 

It consists of  3 obligatory modules that cover most essential ICT skills and knowledge areas as: 

M2. Computer Essentials

M7. Online Essentials

M346. Application Essentials


ICDL Entry Profile certifies the most essential skills. It is suitable for candidates who need to work with simple text documents, simple spreadsheets and simple presentation and make simple modifications. All activities are done with web office applications (e.g. Microsoft 365) in online storage (e.g. OneDrive).

ICDL BASE PROFILE


ICDL Base Profile is a certification of an individual's digital literacy. 

It consists of  3 obligatory modules that cover ICT skills and knowledge areas as: 

M2. Computer Essentials

M3. Word Processing

M7. Online Essentials

+ 1 optional module from Base or Standard (Intermediate) group of modules (except module M346). See page Syllabi.

ICDL Base Profile certifies essential skills with a slight personalization. If you successfully complete ICDL Base Profile, your certificate will include the confirmation about your digital literacy according the ICDL system.


ICDL STANDARD PROFILE


ICDL Standard Profile consists of the obligatory modules: 

M2. Computer Essentials

M3. Word Processing

M7. Online Essentials

M12. Cyber Security

+ 3 optional modules form common Base or Standard (Intermediate) modules (except module M346) like:

M4. Spreadsheets, M5. Using Databases, M6. Presentation, M9. Image Editing

or from professional oriented Standard modules like: 

M10 WEb Editing, M16 Computing, M17 Digital Marketing, etc.

It is the most flexible of the recommended ICDL profiles, which demonstrate specific competencies in modules that are suited for the candidates’ careers or interests. The structure ensures that the candidates have certified essential ICT skills. If you successfully complete ICDL Standard Profile, your certificate will include confirmation about your digital competency according the ICDL system.


ICDL EXPERT PROFILE


ECDL Expert Profile consists of 1obligatory module:

M12. Cyber Security 

+ 3 optional modules of the Advanced group of modules like:

AM3. Advanced Word Processing

AM4. Advanced Spreadsheets

AM5. Advanced Databases

AM6. Advanced Presentation

AM8. Data analytics - Foundation

ICDL Expert Profile proves that candidate is a ‘power user’ in commonly used computer applications. To achieve ICDL Expert Profile, it is necessary successfully complete 4 modules.
If you successfully complete ICDL Expert Profile, your certificate will include a confirmation about your digital expertise according the ICDL system.
